Research: Combustion; combustion synthesis of advanced materials;
nonlinear dynamics and pattern formation; analytical and computational
methods
Professor Matkowsky's interests are in asymptotic and perturbation
methods, bifurcation and stability, nonlinear dynamics and pattern
formation, combustion (premixed, filtration and fingering, gasless),
combustion synthesis of materials and stochastic dynamical systems.
