MEGSS

The Mechanical Engineering Graduate Students’ Society (MEGSS) is a group that includes all ME graduate students at Northwestern University. The purpose of MEGSS is to promote the overall well-being of the ME graduate student body.

NU Solar Car Team

An undergraduate student organization dedicated to designing and engineering solar powered cars, built to compete in international events.

NUsolar 2009 Formula Sun Grand Prix video

InNUvation is an entrepreneurial interest group, composed of graduate and undergraduate students from across the University and its professional schools. InNUvation has helped create a highly innovative course, the Life Sciences Innovation Program. This two-quarter medical technology development program teams graduate students from engineering, arts & sciences, business, and medical schools to develop a prototype, a business plan and patent application, starting from a clinical need.

Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)

Northwestern's student chapter of SAE consists of two clubs: the Mini Baja team, which competes in off road racing events and the Formula team, which is preparing their first car for F1-style track racing events.

 

Formula SAE Team

The Northwestern Formula SAE team is made up mostly of undergraduate engineering students. The team designs, builds, tests, and drives a custom built open wheeled formula style road race car. The Formula car competes every year against up to 120 other collegiate teams in design and driving events.
