Theory and tools for analyzing and designing microsystems used in MEMS/Nanotechnology. Includes device physics and analysis, design techniques, and computer-aided design tools for micro systems technology.

Prerequisite: None.

Who takes it

Advanced graduate students interested in learning micro systems design usually take this course.

What it's about

MEMS is an exiting new field of engineering. Its rapid development over the last few years, has brought many new techniques in design, and building of MEMS and Nano devises. This course covers basic principles and tools of MEMS and Nano design, physical and mathematical approaches, and a computer aided design approach.
