Faculty Position in Segal Design Institute at Northwestern Engineering Northwestern University seeks a creative, energetic individual who will help build an exciting human-centered product and service design program. The newly formed Segal Design Institute has a strong base in Engineering design at the undergraduate level and a new MS degree in Engineering Design and Innovation plus a design sequence in the highly acclaimed joint MBA/engineering program that focuses upon Design and Operations, with a very senior advisory board from industry and a rich set of alumni. The successful candidate will help expand course offerings with project- and lecture-based courses in human-centered product and service design, build an internationally-recognized research program, as well as to expand the Segal presence world-wide through seminars, conferences, and creative activities. The appointment will be a tenure track faculty position within the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science in whatever department best matches the candidates training and expertise. Therefore, a PhD and the potential for a robust research program and highly visible publication record are essential. The appointment will be at the assistant or associate professor level, but exceptional senior-level candidates may be considered. Applicants should
