Particularly noteworthy projects include: Myron Kim (CS), Neel Naik (HPME), and Robert Jaeger (highschool student) contributed to a paper currently in review at the Annals of Biomedical Engineering Julian Klosowiak (HPME) won a Ford summer fellowship and a Ford undergraduate research award for his work with Venkatesh Gopal on constructing a schlieren imaging setup to visualize rat olfactory search behavior. Julian is now on a Fullbright fellowship in France. Jean-Michel Mongeau (BME) won a Ford undergraduate research award and completed an undergraduate honors thesis on constructing robotic whiskers. Jean-Michel is currently a graduate student in neuroscience at Berkeley. Joy Checa-Chong (French and Psychology) and Ankur Bakshi (BME) are our expert histologists
