Course work and Grading: Final Grade = Homework+Labs+Midterm+Final+Participation

Homework (20%): Nine problem sets as per class schedule, Assigned on Monday's. Completed problem sets due in TA’s offices before class time on the following Monday (seven days later) No late assignments will be accepted.

Laboratories (25%) Eight experiment/demonstration exercises, instructions given in weekly handouts, one write-up per subgroup due following week in TA’s offices. (2-3 students per subgroup, these will be assigned by the end of first week.) No late lab write-ups will be accepted.

Midterm: (20%): Take home handed out at end of class on 10/25, due beginning of class 10/27.

Final (25%): Take home handed out at end of class on 12/1, due 6:30 p.m. on Monday, 12/6.

Class Participation (10%): In the teaching of manufacturing processes, it is important for the student to ask questions and for the instructor to generally foster classroom discussion. All students are expected to be present (attendance) and participate in all lectures and laboratory exercises.
